Putting The Customer First With The Right Drill Rig

Oftentimes they’re overlooked, the most important part of any business: the customer.

This month, we wanted to showcase one of our newest customers and dig into who they are, what they do, and why they decided to make the leap and switch to our powerful line of drills.

We had a chance to sit down with Brady Moloughney, owner of JR Drilling in Shawville, QC Canada. With over 35 years of experience, Brady knows the world of drilling well, and is knowledgeable about exactly what it takes to make it in the field. JR Drilling provides residential, commercial, and industrial water well drilling, as well as pump installation, repairs, geothermal drilling and hydro fracturing.

This well-rounded company of dedicated professionals opened up to share their thoughts on Versa-Drill and what brought them to us this year. The discussion was illuminating to say the least, and we are thoroughly excited to have JR Drilling work alongside the Versa-Drill family.

VD: Hi Brady! You’ve only been in business with us for a month - since April of this year. Which drill did you decide to go with for this first purchase?

BM: We have a 2021 Mark70 to perform all our drilling.

VD: What made you decide to invest in a Versa-Drill product after you’ve worked with others in the drilling business for so long?

BM: After 35 years of running a couple different competitor rigs, we made the decision to switch to Versa-Drill after being let down time and time again with parts and service on our drills.

VD: Now that you’ve gotten your first product from us, how does it stand against the competition?

BM: Way ahead technology-wise and the after-sale service is priceless.

VD: What are your favorite features of the drilling rig?

BM: Although we’ve only run our new machine for a month, we love the auto rod handling system, as well as the ease of operating the Mark70 and the power it provides.

VD: For customization, have you had a part shipped? How did that go for you?

BM: Yes, we’ve had parts shipped and it’s been flawless. Each department of Versa-Drill we’ve dealt with has been great. Everyone is committed to keeping their customers happy and working.

VD: What is the biggest technical advantage you’ve noticed with the Mark70?

BM: The auto rod handling, plus the power and strength of the machine sets Versa-Drill apart. Switching from one brand to another may have had its challenges but the Mark70 was easy to get on with running it. The transition was seamless.

VD: Switching over to a new company for your drilling needs is a big move. Especially when you’ve been in the business for as long as you have. Why would you stick with Versa-Drill’s rigs in the future?

BM: For us, the machine is one part. Versa-Drill has great machines, but also being able to call and order parts directly is a huge bonus. Having cell phone numbers and being able to call these guys is one of the biggest reasons I would buy Versa-Drill products in the future.
